Do you take insurance?
We are a 100% self-pay clinic and do not accept any insurance. Payment can be made with all major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Care Credit is not accepted. Payment is due at the time of service.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer a 10% student, teacher, military, and healthcare worker discount with ID. Please let us know at the time of booking and the discount will be added to your account for all future billing.

What is the cancellation/no-show policy?

We understand that life happens which is why we offer a generous 12-hour cancellation window with no penalty! Any cancellation with less than 12 hours notice or a no-show will incur a fee of $100. This will be automatically charged to the card on file. There is a 15 minute grace period for late arrivals for all appointments. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will ask you to reschedule your visit to allow for the best care.

Can you see or consult with my child?

Dr. McClelland works with clients ages 18 and up. 

 

I don't live in Arizona, can we still work together?

Yes! If you live outside the state of Arizona, you can still receive consulting services from Dr. McClelland.

Consulting services include nutritional and lifestyle counseling, advice on building a care team and advocacy, and answering your questions about management of hypermobility and related conditions. Consulting services are NOT medical services and will not include any diagnosis, interpretation or ordering of labs/imaging, or prescribing.

Can you be my PCP (Primary Care Provider)?

As Dr. McClelland's services are focused on hypermobility and related conditions, she cannot be your PCP. All clients are required to have a regular primary care provider on your care team while working with Dr. McClelland.

What happens if I’m already Dr. Mc’s patient? 
You are more than welcome to continue care with Dr. Mc at The Bendy ND. You do NOT need to schedule another New Patient visit, but you will need to come in to the office in Mesa for an updated physical exam (10-15 minutes, at no cost to you) to continue medical care! Scheduling this will be discussed with you at your first telehealth follow-up visit with The Bendy ND.

What do the New Patient Screening Labs include?

The screening labs include: CBC, CMP, thyroid panel (TSH, Free T3, Free T4), iron panel (total iron, TIBC, ferritin), AM Cortisol, ESR, CRP, Serum B1, B6, B12 and Folate, and Vitamin D. This is a more extensive panel than typical screening labs!

The screening lab panel is included with the Founder's Package but can be added to any New Patient appointment at additional cost (approximately $300).

Additional labs and/or specialty labs including mycotoxin testing, GI/Stool panel, genetic testing, etc may be recommended by Dr. McClelland and can be added at additional cost (varies).

All labs and specialty testing are self-pay only (credit, debit, HSA/FSA), no insurance.

Will I get my blood drawn at the office?

No, labs ordered by Dr. McClelland are collected through Ulta Labs, who have convenient draw stations located all around the Valley. Specialty labs are typically collected using at-home kits mailed directly to you.

I'm interested in the Founder's Package, what's the fine print?

Great choice! The Founder's Package is the most cost-effective option if you are a new patient seeking comprehensive diagnosis and management of hypermobility/EDS and related conditions with total savings of $350!

• Available to New Patients only.

• Arizona clients only.

• Full package price is due upfront.

• All visits included in the package must be used within 1 year of the initial New Patient Visit. 

• No substitutions or changes can be made to the package (for example, you cannot "remove" the genetic testing).

• The package is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
